The Bias of the World

I have never read an article quite like the one I read this week on bias in algorithms and honestly I am appalled that we have let this go on for this long. The interesting fact and biggest thing I learned is that we have taken bias to a whole new level and not only made it so that humans are bias and misjudging people but now the AI that we have programmed is also holding that same bias. I learned that if you take a White man and a balk man and put them in a police system with the same bias the black man ends up on a higher level of danger then the white man. This is just wrong. We have held a level of bias and prejudice so long that we even programmed it into our computer algorithms??? This is something that just can’t happen and I have learned that bias in algorithms is real and that we need to fix that.
